Osborne shortlisted for five Building Excellence Awards

Osborne has been shortlisted for five LABC South East Regional Building Excellence Awards.

Osborne has been shortlisted for Best Large Housing Development, Best Social or Affordable Housing Development and Best Sustainable Design for its work at Standings Court in Horsham. Working in partnership with its client, affordable housing provider Saxon Weald, Osborne designed and built a group of 38 affordable houses, 12 of which were Passivhaus accredited.

The company has also been shortlisted for Best Large Commercial Project for its work on Surrey Satellite Technology’s new office in Guildford. This project saw Osborne design and build a three-storey, 3,300m2 office to support the company’s work in the satellite technology market.

Osborne’s fifth award nomination is in the Best Social or Affordable awards category for its work on a £1 million housing development in Ashford in Kent. Osborne worked with The Hyde Group and Ashford Borough Council to design and build nine apartments, all of which met the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, in a three-storey building on Sturges Road in the town centre.

The award ceremonies take place on July 6th at The Copthorne Hotel in Effingham, with the winners going forward to the national awards in November.
