Ready2Work with Osborne – Affinity Sutton launches new employment and training partnership

Affinity Sutton officially marked the launch of its new employment partnership with Osborne Property Services at an event attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bromley.

The event, which took place at Affinity Sutton’s Hawthorn centre in Penge, provided the opportunity to showcase a new training programme designed to take participants through a structured training programme that leads to a guaranteed interview opportunity for paid employment with Osborne Property Services.

Osborne Property Services has already demonstrated its commitment to the new partnership, taking on six Ready2Work customers who are currently undertaking training at Osborne’s Bromley and Reigate offices, one has already successfully secured a paid fixed-term contract.

In addition, it has ring-fenced six work placement opportunities which will offer on-the-job experience in repairs ranging from plumbing to plastering and general maintenance.

Victoria Whittle, head of Affinity Sutton’s employment and training service Ready2Work, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be launching this programme with our partner Osborne. It will offer invaluable practical training and genuine opportunities for paid employment – which could significantly improve the lives of many of residents currently being supported by our Ready2Work service.”
