Osborne progresses Mayflower works

Midway through the Mayflower Halls final phase of the utility works, Balfour Beatty and Osborne are making good progress.

The development of Mayflower Halls has reached the final phase and works are well underway to connect up services (gas, water, electricity etc) to the new building and finish off the surrounding pavements ready for the opening.   A local resident commented: “Since the diversions have been put into place, the traffic flow has been absolutely amazing. Considering that there are lanes closed off to connect power to the new building, I have found the traffic to flow with ease around the city. I drive into work every day and there no longer seems to be congestion anywhere around that area.” The service connection and pavement works to Commercial Road which are those being carried out under the traffic restriction are due to finish in June.
