Osborne Is A Class Act – Brand New Term; Brand New Start; Brand New Facilities

Ready for their return from the summer holidays, Osborne has completed work at Tavistock Infant school in Fleet, Hampshire.

Finished eight weeks ahead of schedule, this will allow students to use their brand new facilities when they go back to school this week.

Osborne began the construction in January this year of a new school extension to provide an extra three classrooms and new ICT suite, which would allow for an additional intake of pupils. This £1.6 million contract was due to be completed by October 2014, however, ahead of time and within budget, students will be able to enjoy more classroom space as they start the new term.

Osborne has worked closely with the staff at Tavistock, taking a hands-on approach off-site as well to get involved with some of the school’s fundraising events, including their School Fair and Summer BBQ. The school itself gave the work top marks, scoring the project ten out of ten in all aspects in the Improvement & Efficiency South East  (IESE) End User Survey.

Alongside the achievement of an earlier-than-anticipated completion, Tavistock Infant School has been a considerable success for Osborne with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Scoring an impressive 42 out of 50 points, it placed the school firmly within the ‘Excellent’ criteria of the scheme.
