Osborne Wins Multi Million Pound Portsmouth Project
Osborne has won a multi million pound project to improve “The Hard” terminal in Portsmouth and will begin work next month.
Osborne was appointed to deliver the £7m project for Portsmouth City Council after they completed the 2014 ICE award-winning Northern Road bridge replacement in Cosham. The team is already working at “The Hard” on behalf of Network Rail-South West Trains Alliance, and this will mean both sets of work can be co-ordinated to reduce disruption.
Creating a new transport interchange is the first step in a vision to regenerate the area around “The Hard.”
The council said the new interchange will better link buses, trains and ferries, make the site easier to navigate and enable pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles to share the space more safely.
