Osborne Quick to Complete Rail Upgrade

Osborne has recently completed signalling and level crossing upgrade works at Cranbrook in Devon, under the One Team Wessex framework.

With the five year, £250million, One Team Wessex framework already in place, Network Rail were able to approach Osborne at very short notice, with the confidence that Osborne would complete the upgrades to their usual high standard.

After only two weeks on site, Osborne was able to undertake the final signalling and rewiring works by Cranbrook Station during a 27hour possession of the line.

Jamie Perkins, Osborne Package Manager, said: “We were very pleased to be given the opportunity to deliver the signalling modifications required at Cranbrook under the Framework. Despite the very short time period, we successfully commissioned the new signalling arrangements ensuring the future safety of the level crossing.”
