Osborne Helping Develop Valuable Skills Within the Community

Osborne has been delivering a CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) Health and Safety Awareness Course to Southwark residents with an interest in entering the construction industry.

With Osborne currently working on five projects within the London borough, the company are helping those wanting to work in the industry generate valuable key skills so they can take that first step towards a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card, and a potential new career within the industry.

Basil Frostick, Osborne Senior Safety Health and Environment Advisor, said: “The days have been a great success. Being able to give a little something back to the community is a great honour. The industry is growing and with valuable skills in short supply, there’s no better place to start looking for the next generation, than within the local community.”

The CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry, which keeps a database of those working in construction who have achieved, or are committed to achieving, a recognised construction related qualification.
