Girl Power!

Osborne is celebrating National Women in Engineering Day.

This is an International awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry.

Osborne is one of the leading construction businesses in the UK and Safia Whitwham is a graduate engineer within their infrastructure business.

Safia is involved with supporting students at the Institute of Civil Engineers and we asked her about her why she loved working in engineering.

“The reason I love working in the field of engineering is because everyday you are involved in problem solving and face challenges; whether it is replacing a railway bridge within a weekend ready for train service to resume on Monday or working out how you can even get to a remote site.”
