Osborne Strengthens its Property and Development Arm

Osborne has appointed David Podesta as Development Manager to strengthen their Property and Developments part of the business.
David previously held the position of Senior Estates Manager with the University of Southampton, for which Osborne constructed the Mayflower Halls of Residence, providing 1,104 bedrooms of student accommodation.

David said of his appointment;
“I got to know Osborne well during the construction of the Mayflower Halls of residence and it was clear from early in the project that they understood the value of a building a long term relationship with their customers and wanted to deliver an end product that everyone would be proud of.  That culture and commitment shown by Osborne to deliver a quality solution for customers made a real impact on me, so I am pleased to be in this new role.”

David’s experience in higher education will complement the existing Development team and help Osborne continue its expansion into the purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) sector.  Building on successful schemes already delivered in Winchester and Southampton, Osborne currently has just over 1,250 bedrooms in its development pipeline including schemes in Cambridge, Chichester and a further two in Winchester.
