Osborne help to Connect the Community Safely

Connections are important and at Chandlers Ford, in Hampshire, the local community will soon be able to cross the railway much more safely.
We have put up the new footbridge to replace the existing pedestrian level crossing is going well, having last weekend completed installation of the main steelwork during a weekend possession of the track.

The popular level crossing is used by in excess of 130 people each day.

The current arrangement is far from ideal with lack of visibility and no lighting. Network Rail are closing and removing the crossing and replacing it with a stepped footbridge with handrail lighting and illuminated access paths.
