Project Shortlisted for Trio of Awards at UK RIA 2017

Its BAFTA and Grammy season in the Show Biz world, but in the Rail world, The Reading 10 Car Project has been recognized by being shortlisted in three categories in the UK Rail Industry Awards 2017.
The UK Rail Industry Awards 2017 take place in London, tonight  on the 9th February and the shortlist includes the  Reading 10 Car train lengthening project.

The project has been shortlisted in three categories:
• Collaborative Working
• Outstanding Projects – large (over £20m)
• Passenger Safety

#UKRIA2017 takes place tonight, 9th February 2017 at the Battersea Evolution in London, and will see rail industry decision-makers gather to celebrate the success and achievement of the shortlisted and winning nominations. There will also be a keynote speech from Networks Rail’s chairman Sir Peter Hendy.

The aim of the project is to increase capacity on the Reading to London Waterloo route by allowing 10 car trains. The project also includes capacity improvements on the route from Ascot to Ash Vale.
