Mock Interviews Replicated as Osborne Help Prepare Students for Work

Ok, so The Apprentice it wasn’t… but we did work hard to replicate the experience of a real life interview for students at Walthamstow School for Girls.
And just to up the stakes slightly, we invited local politician, Councillor Khevyn Limbajee, to be part of our panel.

Along with other businesses in the area including partners Aston Group, we had been asked to carry out Mock interviews with the students as part of Walthamstow School for Girls commitment to promoting job opportunities and preparing their students for the world of work.

“We’re always pleased to support the mock interviews across the areas in which we work said Carol Bailey, Managing Director of Osborne Property Services.
“It’s a really useful way for businesses to support their local community; something which is really important to us.  It’s also an opportunity for us to spot potential future talent for our own business.”

Councillor Limbajee said “This was an inspiring event to be involved with.  I was really impressed to see how prepared students were and how well they managed to answer the questions thrown at them.  I would encourage more events like this as it creates opportunity and builds positive confidence for our next generation.”
Osborne is keen to spread the word and share experience to encourage and keep the best talent in the industry. It has recently  announced it will be opening its doors at two of its construction sites in Brighton and London, at this year’s National Open Doors Event.
Open Doors events across the country will see construction companies opening some of their sites for the general public to take a “behind the scenes” look and to ask those who make it happen, all about what they do. Aimed at demonstrating the diversity of the construction industry to those who may be looking to pursue a career in construction, or who just have a genuine interest in the work behind the hoardings, this is a unique opportunity for Osborne to showcase their work. The event takes place on Monday 27th March until Saturday 1st April 2017.
