Minor Works Recognised in Network Rail’s Awards

The Network Rail Recognition Awards are designed for their Buildings & Civils Minor Works Principal Contractors operating on the Wessex Route. The awards are recognition for high standards of work carried out on the Route and are awarded in 3 key categories – 1) Organised sites, 2) Professional response & 3) Upcoming professional.
Darren Clarke, Site Manager for Osborne, has recently been awarded the accolade under the category of Organised Sites. This looks at sites and awards on its careful consideration to Life Saving Rules and Home Safe Every Day, along with clear signage, forward planning, risk foreseeability and consideration to the public to mention a few criteria.

Darren is recognised for having the best run sites with minimal issues. Feedback included that he is always friendly and willing to listen to suggestions and take things forward by promoting others and letting less experienced professional learn through the process.

This award comes as the Osborne Minor Works Team receives continuous positive feedback. They are receiving more praise than ever from their customer as they continue to find ways to help solve their problems.

Building on this success, the Osborne Minor Works team secured a one year extension to their Building Maintenance Framework Contract in the Sussex and Wessex Routes and for their Minor Civils Maintenance Contract in Sussex. The contract see’s Osborne deliver a comprehensive 24hr reactive and planned maintenance programme,  keeping the railways safe for passengers.
