Osborne Minor Works Team Delight Customers as they Deliver Two Quality Offices in One

The Osborne Minor Works Team at Eastleigh Long Weld Depot recently completed logistically challenging building refurbishments, including converting a meeting room into smaller offices, installing a mess room and drying room, and improving access between offices.
The comprehensive package of works included removing electrical heaters, lights, rewiring and switches; changes to partition walls, window and door openings; hygiene panelled walls, extractor fans and renewed flooring. This was no mean feat when the buildings and depot remained fully operational throughout.

The Eastleigh Long Welded Rail Depot Site Manager was very complimentary on the efforts of the Osborne Minor Works Team and the supply chain partners.

His feedback included: “I just wanted to take the time to say a big thank you to you and your respective teams for orchestrating a job that was very well laid out and complete to our satisfaction with no issues that I see outstanding. It has been a pleasure working with you all here in the past two weeks and I would certainly be very grateful if you would please pass on our thanks to all who took part in this project that I know wasn’t the easiest for you to manage. We and Network Rail colleagues have worked as we would normally, with no interruptions.”

Osborne Minor Works Team receives continuous positive feedback on their work from their customers as they continue to find ways to help them solve their problems.

Earlier this year the Osborne Minor Works team secured a one year extension to their Building Maintenance Framework Contract in the Sussex and Wessex Routes and for their Minor Civils Maintenance Contract in Sussex. The contract see’s Osborne deliver a comprehensive 24hr reactive and planned maintenance programme,  keeping the railways safe for passengers.
