Banging the Drum for Next Generation of Budding Engineers

Osborne is always keen to attract new talent to the industry.
This week, representatives from Osborne attended the Big Bang Careers Fair, in Redhill, Surrey. The Careers Fair was a showcase for local businesses to help raise Senior school students awareness of career opportunities on their doorstep. Along with other local companies, Osborne contributed to a film to help encourage Students to explore their career options locally.

Osborne were represented by members of their People team and two Osborne trainees who were able to give a view on what it’s like to work and develop their careers with Osborne.

Osborne is always looking for ways to engage and raise awareness of not just Osborne as a business but the variety of careers that are available within the construction industry. The Big Bang Fair is a week long event across various locations in London.

This is where school children go to learn and engage in various STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workshops and information stands designed to inspire the next generation of civil engineers.

Osborne is a member of the 5% Club, demonstrating their commitment to apprentices. Currently 9% of employees are enrolled on apprenticeship programmes and more are being recruited.
