Gold RoSPA medals and awards for Osborne

14 March 2008

Osborne has been awarded two gold medals and three gold awards in this year’s RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards. The medals were awarded to Osborne’s Civil Engineering and Construction Divisions, while the awards went to its Homes and Property Services Divisions and the Osborne group as a whole.

RoSPA Gold AwardThe medals and awards mark the fifteenth consecutive year that Osborne’s safety standards have been recognised by the RoSPA Awards scheme which is one of the UK’s most highly respected occupational safety award programmes.

RoSPA monitors workplace safety across all sectors and works to encourage organisations to attain the highest possible standards of occupational health and safety.   The awards are presided over by an independent, expert panel of assessors and a range of performance indicators are taken into account during the assessment process, including accident and ill health statistics, as well as all safety processes, standards and initiatives.

Andrew Osborne, Group Corporate Development Director comments:

'An organisation’s health and safety record is as important as its balance sheet. The provision of a safe environment for all our staff is fundamental to Osborne and something we take extremely seriously. These awards are recognition of our commitment to safety and I congratulate all our staff for this achievement. However our work on keeping safety at the top of the agenda must never stop.’

The awards will be presented at gala dinners on May 13 - 15 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
