Osborne’s expertise has been used to construct a specialist education environment on behalf of client BPP Holdings. The company was appointed to convert two existing buildings, each seven-storeys high, to house training and associated facilities. The project included constructing a new basement lecture theatre within the area of what had previously been a car park, as well as building a full-height extension to the rear of the main building.
Site access and working conditions were very restricted on the confined, central London site, and close liaison with local residents was essential to overcome complex party wall issues. The client received partial possession 10 weeks early, ensuring courses could start running at the new facility on schedule. The final account was agreed 12 weeks following practical completion.
