The first two buildings, Fellows Court and Heavers Farm, part of Croydon’s visionary £38m Homes for the Future Programme, have now been completed by the Caring 4 Croydon Consortium of which Osborne is one of the members.
Both buildings are now occupied; Fellows Court providing a 40 bed extra-care housing and day facility aimed at providing the elderly with an improved standard of living facilities and at Heavers Farm providing 60 beds for the care of the elderly with mental health needs. In addition, it has a support unit for those individuals with the early on-set of dementia and also a 24 place activity centre to support the mentally frail people living at the home.
Works are now well underway on site at the next two facilities, Addington Heights and Langley Oaks, which will open in 2010. Once complete, the four new homes will help transform care for the older and vulnerable people in the Borough of Croydon by providing modern and up to date facilities including 150 residential and nursing places, 40 extra-care flats and 128 day-care places.
Our experience in delivering PFI schemes can also be evidenced by our exciting Young Herts PFI project where consulting with the young end users earned us top marks.
