Construction Manager of the Year Awards

Osborne's Kevin O'Brien has won the Gold Award within the category 'Projects £15 - 25m' at this year's prestigious CMYA 2007 winner Kevin O'BrienConstruction Manager of the Year Award (CMYA). The award, run by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), was presented at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 30th October.

Kevin, a Senior Project Manager at Osborne, won the Award for his outstanding contribution to the new Science Centre project at the London Metropolitan University. Despite the remarkable complexity of the project, Kevin delivered on time and on budget, while at the same time retaining the architectural intent, the client’s aspiration and adhering to a strict environmental standard.

Steve Crook, Contracts Manager at Osborne, was also a finalist in the 'Projects £4 - £7m' category for his outstanding contribution to the University of Westminster’s Cavendish Campus Redevelopment. The building – known as ‘The Hub’ – posed significant challenges and it was imperative that robust method statements and logistics plans were in place to minimise both disruption and construction risk.

Congratulations to Kevin and Steve, and also to the Osborne teams involved.
