Trainee of the Year 2007

Mark Heasman and Gavin TideyOsborne's annual Trainee of the Year Award was announced in November.

The Award went to Gavin Tidey, who first joined Osborne in 2002 whilst studying for his MA in Civil Engineering. He worked as a trainee site engineer for 15 months on rail and civils projects and then worked his remaining university holidays with Osborne until graduating in 2005, when he joined the company full time.

Since joining Osborne I have been given many opportunities, exposing me to different areas of the business and giving me the chance to try different aspects of civil engineering. I always approach tasks with enthusiasm and give them the most of my abilities.

Gavin is currently working as a Graduate Engineer and is involved in two rail bridge replacement jobs.
