"Osborne's overriding objective in its health sector work is to provide patients with the best possible experience when they use healthcare facilities." Colin Gush, Divisional Director, Construction

Osborne’s collaborative approach to working with clients, clinicians and our supply chain has been critical to our success in delivering high quality healthcare facilities.
Our experience comes at almost every level of health provision, from primary care facilities to large hospitals. It includes special needs and mental health facilities, GPs surgeries, resources centres, acute healthcare, laboratory and research facilities.
We have worked very successfully within a range of procurement environments in both the public and private sectors and with NHS development teams, where we bid in partnership with the gbprimarycare consortium. In August 2007, the consortium achieved preferred bidder status for a £30m LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) project to construct a new primary care delivery centre and adult mental health in-patient unit for Southampton City Primary Care Trust and Hampshire Partnerships Trust.
Through the ProCure 21 principal supply chain partner, Medicinq, we continue to work very successfully with NHS Trusts in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans. The largest project, at £26m, is the construction of a 120 bed acute admissions units at Watford General Hospital for the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are also working on a £7.4m project with East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust at Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hosptial in Margate to build a 220 unit staff accommodation development.

Osborne encourages a high level of interaction between clinicians, carers, patients, service users and the wider community so that all their requirements are understood and reflected in the buildings we develop. Our open culture and partnership approach can be very helpful in encouraging different organisations to work together, and we structure our projects to support team working, full integration and collaboration between stakeholders.
This focus on client needs and collaborative working ensures that we deliver better buildings that allow carers and clinicians to provide better environments for patients.
The Council has enjoyed a most productive experience with Osborne who convey an absolute determination to understand the Council’s requirements and respond positively to them. This commitment to partnership work to meet challenges whilst striving to achieve a mutually beneficial and realistic commercial outcome has been both reassuring and influential.
