ABOUT OSBORNE

In our drive to be a sustainable business we recognise that the impact of what we do goes far beyond the physical build. How we behave, how we treat others in our work and public communities, how we learn, develop and innovate has far reaching impacts on society.

After the food industry, we have both the privilege and the responsibility of representing arguably the most important and influential industry in touching and moulding people’s lives. No other industry has the opportunity to shape, influence, and make such a difference. By constantly pushing the boundaries, allowing ourselves to imagine, dream and solve problems, we fulfil our purpose to provide sustainable, intelligently designed spaces that improve peoples’ lives.

Osborne was founded in 1966 in Chichester by Geoffrey Osborne. A civil engineer by training, Geoffrey Osborne believed that if you did your very best for your customers and treated them fairly they would trust you and treat you fairly in return. Sadly he’s no longer with us, but we’re proud to uphold his beliefs and values and to be part of something special. The Osborne family remain our shareholders. Andrew Osborne became Chairman of the Group in 2012 having joined the company in 1998.

Our purpose is to provide sustainable, intelligently designed spaces that improve people lives.

Our vision is to be a sustainable group of standalone businesses operating in the built environment that work together using modern methods of construction and low carbon design to deliver our purpose, in the residential and education sectors. Each of those businesses has a unique ability to contribute to the delivery of better outcomes across every stage of the property lifecycle.

Making you successful is our mission that everyone should be successful at every level and in every organisation involved in every project. The essence is to always seek understanding of what success looks like for the other person in every personal touch point and engagement.

Our Learning Organisation culture is the foundation of driving continuous improvement and innovation, openly sharing our learning from mistakes and successes, continually improving operating procedures, behaviours, personal feedback, and best practice.

“I am clear that we have something very special to offer; a professional construction service combined with truly caring about our customers”
Andrew Osborne, Chairman
