Osborne creates new design & IT director role

Dr Rennie Chadwick has joined Osborne in a newly-created role of Director of Design & IT.

Dr Chadwick will be responsible for all of Osborne’s design-related activities, reporting to Osborne’s Board of Directors. He will also be responsible for introducing new technology and leading the exploitation of BIM for the benefit of Osborne’s customers.

Dr Chadwick joins from VINCI Construction, where he worked for over 20 years, most recently as a Board Director with responsibility for environment, quality, corporate responsibility and research, development and innovation. He has been involved in winning major contracts and framework agreements in excess of £1 billion including, CrossRail enabling works, BAA Capital works framework, Circle Health and Building Schools for the Future.

Dr Chadwick is a chartered engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

He is a member of the CIOB Innovation & Research Panel, Reading University’s Construction School Industrial Advisory Group and the UKCG BIM working group. He also chairs the Construction Technology Platform.
