It’s fun to race for the Y- M – C – A!
Osborne team run five mile race to raise funds for the YMCA.
Osborne staff members took part in Reigate’s annual fun run on Sunday May 6.
Led by Deputy Chairman Andrew Osborne, the seven strong Osborne team ran the five mile race around Reigate to raise funds for Redhill and Reigate YMCA, which provides sport, housing and volunteering support in the Reigate and Redhill area.
The race was part of the Festival of Sport which showcases the offerings of a number of the local sport clubs in a bid to raise their profile and attract new members. Now in its 13th year, the fun run has grown in popularity since its launch and this year’s event attracted more than 1,000 runners.
Andrew Osborne said: “We’re very proud of our links with Reigate and this event was one we were delighted to support. Redhill and Reigate YMCA is a hugely important local charity which provides valuable support to children and people with disabilities and encourages the whole area to participate in its events. At Osborne we are committed to doing our bit for the community and events like these are the sort of thing we are always keen to get involved with.”
