Marcon Place shortlisted at Network Rail Partnership Awards
We are pleased to announce that the Marcon Place Underbridge Reconstruction project has been shortlisted in this year’s Network Rail Partnership Awards for ‘Best Medium Project Category’.
The £3.5 million bridge reconstruction contract was negotiated with the Network Rail Anglia team in October last year, and the main works were completed in a 99 hour blockade over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The project consisted of the replacement of the seven independent rail bridges which support the four tracks and four platforms over Marcon Place at Hackney Downs Station.
The Awards, now in their fifth year, were created by Network Rail to reward the great partnerships that exist within the rail industry – helping to build a better railway for a better Britain.
The ceremony is due to take place at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London, on Wednesday 24 July and the winners will be announced on the night!
