Osborne scoops RoSPA President’s Award

Osborne has scooped the coveted President’s Award at the annual RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety awards 2014.

All of Osborne’s Sectors have achieved the Gold Medal standard for ten years or more consecutively which has resulted in this excellent achievement. This demonstrates our dedication and commitment to continually improving our health and safety performance.

Chris Trodd, Osborne Director for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) said :

“We are thrilled to have won these awards and to be recognised throughout our industry for raising the standards. We are especially pleased to have won the President’s Award this year, which shows a consistent level of high achievement over ten years across all of our sectors within Osborne.”

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said:

“The RoSPA Awards encourage the raising of occupational health and safety standards across the board. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Osborne, contribute to a collective raising of the bar for other organisations to aspire to, and we offer them our congratulations.”

As the UK’s leading family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission to save lives and reduce injuries covers all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 58 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Occupational Road Risk is extremely important to us and we are pleased to be picking up two more MORR Golds in the prestigious annual scheme; and these will be presented during a ceremony at ExCeL London on 17 June 2014.
