An A* Performance in Ealing

Osborne has been praised for supporting the students and going the extra mile at Horsenden Primary Schools and Mandeville School, in Ealing, West London.

In addition to the building work, over the past six weeks and alongside sub-contractors and consultants, they have been involved in fundraising activities which has seen the schools’ fundraising totals significantly increase in comparison to previous years.  As well as this, they have also been engaging with pupils on a safety poster competition, where the children came up with the idea of ‘teaming up for safety’ and have been involved in a Considerate Constructors visit from Ivor Goodsite. Industry mascot, Ivor Goodsite, is a costumed character developed by the Considerate Constructors Scheme and used by construction companies to engage with a younger audience to encourage safety on and around construction sites, and to promote all that is positive about the UK construction industry.

Jason Barnes, Project Manager for Osborne said, “Small things make a big difference to the lives of pupils and the community and we a pleased to be able to help.”

Chair of Friends of Mandeville School, Satpreet Mitchell expressed their thanks to Osborne, explaining, “The money raised from the activities will go towards making the lives of our pupils more fulfilling and will help towards family day trips and providing specialist toys for the children.”

Osborne started building work on the two schools in Ealing in May of this year. Both schools are on one site, and will be fully refurbished allowing students to benefit from brand new facilities. On setting up site, Osborne took the time to make the hoardings look like a castle wall, making sure that the site was visually appealing to the young service users. The children also had the opportunity to watch some of the piling machines at work at the beginning of the project, and a specially made viewing hole was put in place in the castle wall to allow children to watch from a safe distance.

Externally, Osborne will undertake an extensive landscape programme which will provide soft play areas and play equipment.
