Osborne Joins the 5% Club

Osborne has became a proud member of The 5% Club, a campaign focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the UK workforce.

Since 1966, when Geoffrey Osborne founded the company, Osborne has always looked towards the future. Within the construction industry, they stand out as one of the few that are still family owned, with Andrew Osborne, the son of Geoffrey, fulfilling the role of Chairman.

With a creative and supportive family culture, they continue to seek out and encourage the next generation of industry innovators and leaders.  By joining The 5% Club, Osborne are publicly committing to the aim of ensuring that at least 5% of their workforce are apprentices, graduates or sponsored students on structured programmes within the next five years.

Andy Burrows, Osborne Business Improvement Manager said: “I think it’s extremely important that we provide an environment for our future leaders to grow and expand their knowledge through practical experience, where they are working on live projects and with real customers amongst a thriving and inspiring team.

All graduates in the sector are vital to the revitalisation of the industry and Osborne as they provide a diverse outlook, with different methods of management and uses of technology which helps us to continually evolve.”
