Osborne helping Care for the Carers
Osborne has been supporting the local community in Eastbourne, working in collaboration with Care for the Carers.
The charity, which helps unpaid carers in East Sussex, was joined by the Osborne Community Investment Team, armed with plain white T-shirts and bright fabric pens for a fashion-fuelled afternoon for the young carers.
With imagination being their only boundary, the afternoon provided the young carers with some respite, where they were able to produce their own personalised T-shirt designs, ranging from animals to superheroes and everything in between.
The young carers very much enjoyed the day, with Osborne receiving great feedback such as: ”I really enjoyed it as it brought out my true creativity in design” and “I loved everything that we got to do, and that we could win prizes. I really liked the fashion show.”
Care for the Carers, which has been working in Eastbourne since 1989, provides free practical and emotional advice in person as well as online and by phone. They put people in touch with other carers, and offer a range of groups, training and events across the county.
