Osborne Celebrates the Opening of Leigh Road Bridge

Osborne has celebrated the opening of Leigh Road Bridge which is part of a £10million infrastructure investment to support a vibrant business community and attract further inward investment to the region.

The ceremony was held to celebrate the successful delivery of the 1000 tonne bridge which was installed during a night time operation in February and connected to the surrounding road network over the summer.

Teams from SEGRO, Slough Borough Council, Osborne, Peter Brett Associates, Network Rail and other supply chain partners worked together on the project which is part of the ongoing improvement of the Trading Estate.

Now fully operational, traffic is able to flow more freely around the Estate with the original Brunel designed bridge now fully pedestrianised for walkers and cyclists.

Andy Steele, Chief Executive of Osborne, who were the engineering firm responsible for building the bridge, said:

“We are thrilled to celebrate the successful completion of the Leigh Road Bridge. I am incredibly proud of our team who have worked on this award winning project. We are thrilled that we delivered the project on time and to budget, despite the inevitable challenges that a project of this complexity and magnitude had to face.”
