Osborne Completes Rail Work in Surrey, Ahead of Time and Under Budget

Osborne has completed repairs to the railway banking at Pinks Hill, near Guildford in Surrey, three weeks ahead of time and under budget.

Work on the £600,000 project started in late July and required Osborne to repair and reinforce the embankment and to install improved drainage with a new trough route after the banking started to slip.

To gain assess to the site, Osborne made arrangements with the Parish Council, Surrey County Council as well as the Wildlife Trust, as the railway lays on their land.

Steve Early, Osborne Senior Site Manager said: “Finishing any work ahead of schedule and under budget, without compromising quality or safety, is always a good thing. The work we’ve done at Pinks Hill really highlights our continued commitment to delivering for our customers.”
