Osborne wins Inside Housing Award

Osborne and Paragon’s development, Railton Place in Weybridge, Surrey, has won the ‘Top Non-Grant Funded Development of the Year’ award at the Inside Housing Awards 2015.

The £8million development, named after the Napier Railton racing car, the fastest ever car around the Weybridge Brooklands Outer Circuit, is providing much needed affordable housing to the Weybridge area, with 24 new homes available for social rent and a further 24 apartment available for shared ownership.

John Hocking, Executive Director, Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust said: “There is an imaginative use and respect for the history of the site running through the development, including the play area. An attractive sustainable design and a clear focus on reducing running costs is back up by excellent resident information.”

Garfield Coombs, Director, at Osborne said: “All of us at Osborne are really pleased to have won this award. It’s wonderful that Railton Place has been recognised for its use of energy saving technology and the way that its pays respect to the local heritage of the site.”
