Osborne Starts Final Works at Brockenhurst, New Forest

Osborne has started work at Brockenhurst Station in the New Forest, on a £2million project that will see the completion of upgrading works at the Hampshire station.

The station, that has already been rewired by Osborne, will see the company replacing the canopies and resurfacing the platforms. This will compliment the recently updated pedestrian foot bridge that connects the two platforms, as part of the ongoing £250million, five year One Team Wessex (OTW)framework.

Osborne Senior Site Manager, Bruce Williams, said: “Osborne has been historically very good in this environment. Completing the upgrades will see this great New Forest station returned to its former glory.”

The upgrade forms part of a trio of similar OTW projects in Hampshire, with Osborne replacing the platform canopies at both Farnborough and Havant Stations.

The works are expected to be completed by March 2016.
