University of Roehampton Library Ahead of Programme

This week, Osborne and the University of Roehampton are celebrating the new library project. The library project has  reached week 29 of 83 and is positively ahead of programme.
Completion in August 2017 will enable the University advance access for fit out and to transfer 350,000 print books, artefacts and audio visual materials onto 2km of shelving for the 2017/18 academic year.

Reaching 21m high, standing on 300 CFA piles and with over 6km of pile depth, are five floors of waterproof in-situ precast concrete columns and brick clad panels with curtain walling topped with a glass atrium.

Topsoil stockpiled from the excavation dig will be reused in the landscaping providing cost savings.

The site was also host to Open Doors 2016 in June offering  students an opportunity to look behind the scenes.
