Property Sector Experts join Osborne

Osborne has added more than 40 years of housing maintenance experience to its senior team with the appointment of two new account directors.
James O’Donnell and James Quy have joined Osborne Property Services as account directors at the London Borough of Waltham Forest and Dacorum Borough Council, respectively.

James O’Donnell has worked in property services for more than 30 years, after qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor. He has previous experience of working with Waltham Forest from his time at Kier, and has also worked in senior project management roles at Willmott Dixon and EPS.

James said: “I am very much looking forward to working with Waltham Forest at a strategic level and in developing our long-term relationship. Together, the team at Osborne and the council has made impressive strides in service delivery and I am keen to help ensure we continue this progress for residents.”

James Quy started his career 16 years ago ‘on the tools’ and quickly progressed to running his own construction business. Since then he has worked in a number of senior project management positions in the property services sector.

James said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining such a well-regarded company as Osborne and I look forward to further developing our partnership here at Dacorum over the coming months, with a very passionate and dedicated team.”

Osborne works with the London Borough of Waltham Forest to provide planned works, repairs and voids services to its 12,300 homes. Independent research by consultancy HouseMark recently found that the Waltham Forest repairs service is one of the best in London, when compared with other local authority landlords.

The ‘Total Asset Management’ partnership with Dacorum Borough Council covers 10,000 homes, with Osborne advising on stock investment strategies that have realised £1.1 million in savings and income for the council in the first 18 months of the contract.

Carol Bailey, Managing Director of Osborne Property Services, said: “I am delighted that one of my first acts at Osborne is to welcome two such high-calibre individuals as James and James to the ‘I know from my time at Lakehouse how well Osborne treats its people and the extent to which this commitment to nurturing and appointing the best recruits is valued by clients and residents alike.”
