Camberley Signalling Commissioning Makes 7/9!

We are keen to celebrate success at Osborne and recently at Camberley Station, our Reading 10 Car team successfully commissioned seven out of nine signalling installations.
The site layout, facilities and general housekeeping of the site were nothing short of exemplary, both in the run up and during the blockade.

Within only four weeks the piling for the new platform foundations was completed along with installation of the precast platform beams and block infill – all in addition to mobilising and planning for the signalling commissioning.

The team worked hard to demonstrate continuous learning from each consecutive scheme with increased pre-planning and momentum.

The Reading 10 Car Project affects the Reading to Waterloo route. The aim of the project is to allow 10 car train services to operate between Reading, Ascot and London Waterloo. The project also includes the route from Ascot to Ash Vale.

Recently, we saw the bringing into service of one of the First Reading 10 Car platforms at Martins Heron, in Berkshire, with an official cutting of the ribbon ceremony which was cut by Network rail Chairman Sir Peter Hendy, CBE and representatives from Network Rail.
