Reading 10 Car Project sees Achievements at Ascot

Well done to the Osborne team for their recent weekend work at Ascot.
The team, who are working on Reading 10 Car Project have had a very busy period of signalling commissioning since their work earlier in November at Egham.

They now have 8 out of 9 commissioning’s complete, with Chertsey to come in February 2017.

In addition to Ascot commissioning, the team also installed a bridge span and two sets of stairs to platforms 2 & 3. At Bracknell, they installed platform extension beams and planks to platform 2. At Camberley they levelled both Platform extension and at Sunningdale they surfaced both platform extensions.

The Reading 10 Car Project affects the Reading to Waterloo route. The aim of the project is to allow 10 car train services to operate between Reading, Ascot and London Waterloo. The project also includes the route from Ascot to Ash Vale.
