Industry Learning at London Sustainability Summit

Osborne recently attended the Rail Sustainability Summit in London.
The Summit provided an opportunity for members of the Infrastructure community to learn what others are doing to embed sustainability within their organisations as well as the direction our customers are taking.

Transport for London (TFL) also presented on how they are focusing on driving sustainability through their supply chain and that they are using the Rail Safety Standards Board, (RSSB) Sustainable Development Principles in line with the Mayor’s Transport Strategy.

Carillion discussed their Sustainable Supply Chain Charter and commitment to supply chain spending of 60% locally. They also have an objective of providing Community Needs Plans to 99% of their contracts.  RSSB talked about their Infrastructure Sector Skills Delivery Plan.

This proved to be a great learning event for Osborne and others in the Industry as it gave insight of our key customers direction of travel is with regards to sustainability.
