Osborne Nominated for Excellence in Contractor Engagement Award

A new lease of life has been given to the Winchester City Council Community centre thanks to the support of Osborne’s Community Investment Team and is recognised by TPAS awards.
The Winnal Centre was treated to a makeover by Osborne, who in support of the local council and Tennant Investment Team, spent the day working tirelessly to transform the old centre in to a new welcoming environment for the local community to enjoy.

With the help of a local apprentice and the valued support of Osborne’s supply chain partners’, labour and supplies for the day were arranged allowing the team to work their magic.

The new look Winnal Centre is now the perfect location to host the Winchester City Council’s ‘Grub Hub’, after schools club and job club. The venue will also be available for local businesses and will provide a valued source of income generation for the local council.

Neal Allison, Community Investment Manager, Osborne commented “We were delighted to be involved in this project and are proud to be able to walk away knowing that we have created a great environment for local residents and businesses to enjoy for a long time to come.”

TPAS are leaders in tenant engagement and celebrate the work of unsung heroes working in local communities who contribute to driving up standards of social housing.

Neal was put forward for the TPAS Awards under the category of ‘Excellence in Contractor Engagement’ by Tenant Involvement Officer, Heather Emery of Winchester City Council. He has proven to be an invaluable asset to the local community, working tirelessly on large events such as street parties and includes the re-decoration of Winnal Community Centre to smaller but no less important projects like doing odd jobs for the more vulnerable tenants.

Heather has nothing but praise for Neal and said “I can confidently say that Neal delivers on outcomes and he is a real asset to Osborne, our tenants views of Osborne have been greatly enhanced by his work and we have been able to offer much more for our tenants by working together. Our engagement increases when we work with Neal and satisfaction is always high. We are honoured to have his involvement here in Winchester.”

The winners will be announced in London on 3rd February 2017.
