Look No Further than Construction for a Challenging Career

Looking for a Challenging career? Look no further than construction as Osborne opens its doors at two of its construction sites in Brighton and London, at this year’s National Open Doors Event. The event takes place on Monday 27th March until Saturday 1st April 2017.
Open Doors events across the country will see construction companies opening some of their sites for the general public to take a “behind the scenes” look and to ask those who make it happen, all about what they do.

Suzannah Nichol, Build UK Chief Executive, said: “If you’re looking for a career which is diverse and challenging, you should look no further than construction. My journey to becoming and engineer and now working on behalf of industry started from a site visit, and Open Doors enables you to take a closer look at some of the UK’s most exciting projects, and experience for yourself what makes construction such a fantastic place to work.”

Janette Welton-Pai, CITB Partnerships Manager, said: “We encourage young people of all backgrounds to get down to an Open Doors site and take the first step on the road to a successful career in construction. According to latest research, about 180,000 new jobs will be up for grabs in construction over the next five years, due to projects like this in the pipeline. Open Doors is a fantastic way for people to see just how rewarding a career in the industry can be.”
