Osborne Wins London Refurb Contract

Osborne has won a contract in a high profile central London location, to deliver planned external maintenance and internal decoration to homes owned by City West Homes in Soho and Covent Garden.
City West Homes is the leading housing manager for over 21,000 homes, which includes 9,000 leaseholder homes, 12,000 social homes within the City of Westminster and have appointed Osborne to manage major planned works to improve two of their flagship blocks in conservation areas.

This exciting 26 week planned maintenance project will see improvement works:  City of Westminster Dwellings is a late Victorian low rise block and will receive replacement sash windows, as well as roofing, brick and render repairs and a full external and communal redecoration to help bring this building back to its former glory.

The second building is Dufours House which is a 16 storey 1960s built block, and incorporates William Blake House, built on the site of the English poet William Blake’s birth. The block is surrounded by retail units, and is home to The Farm Group, a TV and Film post production company. Works to Dufours include external repairs and window replacements, and the install of a new green roof to the communal roof space for the flats. Both sites are surrounded by other on-going new build and refurbishment projects, and the one way system surrounding them will ensure traffic management and co-ordination with others will be the key to successful delivery of this project.

Carol Bailey, Managing Director of Property Services commented; “Osborne has a proud track record of delivering excellent property maintenance in and around London and the South East and are very excited to be appointed to work with City West Homes in a high profile conservation area in central London.”

Overseeing the project works is Operations Manager, Andrew Gratton.  Andrew joined Osborne in 2012 and has 40 years’ experience in planned works. Andrew said:  “This truly is an exciting project to be involved with.  The architecture of these buildings is incredible and the communal roof garden with the install of a green roof will see sustainable and creative design bringing long-term benefits for the residents. Osborne prides itself on offering an assured and personal service to its customers, through its value for money contracts and offering outstanding customer experience.”
