‘Outstanding Teamwork’ bags Osborne Shortlist Status at National Rail Awards

Osborne has been shortlisted in the ‘Outstanding Teamwork’ category at National Rail Awards for their One Team Wessex’s ‘Reading 10 Car Train Lengthening’ project.
The Reading 10 Car Train Lengthening project is now complete and was a collaborative joint venture between Network Rail, Osborne and Arcadis. Its aim is to  improve infrastructure, commuting and travel for the public.

The London to Reading line directly connects to London Waterloo Station, resulting in heavy congestion on trains causing problems for commuters.  Works were carried out to increase the length of platforms at 10 stations along the route, to allow longer trains with more carriages to align with the platform, which will create more space for commuters.  The project has been delivered safely, on budget, to a very high quality and has hit milestones.

Earlier this year, The Reading 10 Car Project was also recognized by being shortlisted in three categories in the UK Rail Industry Awards 2017.
