Major Contract Win for Osborne Property Services

Osborne has signed a £140 million deal with Slough Borough Council to provide repairs, maintenance and investment services to its 7000 homes.
Osborne Property Services and Slough bosses met together today (Thursday 15th June) at the Council’s offices to shake hands on the seven-year partnership which will go live on 1st December.
The scope of work covered by the contract is wide-ranging and includes Mechanical and Electrical, compliance, repairs, voids and capital investment works, caretaking and cyclical cleaning programmes.

Osborne, who currently support the provision of 60,000 homes across London and the South East, say this wide scope of work gives them an excellent opportunity to drive efficiencies and value for money through the contract.

Account Director, Alan Perrett explains:
“With access to their assets we will be able to fully understand and manage each property across the Borough.  This integrated asset management approach will provide valuable insight which in turn will create long term benefits for Slough Borough Council and their tenants.

Key to the partnership is the ambitious Social Return on Investment aspect of the contract which will see Osborne investing in Slough for the long term through the creation of job opportunities, skills and local supply chains, as well as re-investment and income opportunities for the borough.

Uniquely, Osborne will secure offices within Slough creating the opportunity for co-location of local services which will drive a collaborative and integrated approach to their work with the community.

Councillor Mohammed Nazir, cabinet member for housing, said: “We are excited to be building a new, sustainable, long-term relationship with a dynamic and innovative new service partner. Osborne has a proven track record in delivering high-quality property services across London and the South East, priding themselves on a right-first-time service. We are committed to providing secure, good quality, safe and affordable homes for people who live and work in Slough and we are pleased that Osborne understand and share our vision.”

Osborne Property Services’ Managing Director, Carol Bailey said:
“Osborne will become truly embedded within Slough, helping shape and deliver the exciting plans they have for the benefit of the whole borough and we look forward to working closely together and seeing the communities of Slough experience real benefit.”
