Ashford Station’s International Success

This week, saw Network Rail and Osborne celebrating the success of the Ashford KVB ATP Project.

This celebrates the completion of Platforms 3 and 4, gauging works and the successful introduction of the new Eurostar Class 374 (e320) geared to allow Eurostar’s new Class 374 trains to service Ashford International Station.

Chris Grayling MP attended and unveiled a plaque in recognition of this success.

A number of VIP Guests were taken from the Eurostar Terminal Area through Customs and onto Platform 4 to await the arrival of the first Eurostar Class 374.

Remaining guests moved onto Platform 5 to view the arrival of the Eurostar Class 374.

Following the departure of the Eurostar Class 374, guests continued the celebrations by travelling by train up to Canterbury for a cultural grand tour of the many architectural establishments!
