Osborne Construction shortlisted in London RIBA Awards 2018

The Construction business at Osborne has five projects shortlisted for this year’s RIBA London awards, which recognise architectural excellence:

• Royal Academy of Music – The Susie Sainsbury Theatre & The Angela Burgess Recital Hall
• University of Roehampton Library
• Hackney Town Hall
• Great Eastern Buildings
• University of Roehampton Elm Grove Hall
If successful in the regional awards the projects will be considered for the national awards, the results of which will be announced in June and from which the shortlist for the Stirling Prize is drawn.

Ron Moir, Design and Innovation Director for Construction said; “It is fantastic to collaboratively support projects that make such a difference to the built environment. In addition, in recent years two projects have been finalists for the Stirling Prize; Saw Swee Hock Student Centre for LSE and Stockwell Street for the University Of Greenwich, reinforcing our commitment and capability in innovative design.”

Construction has also been shortlisted for the following categories at the SECBE Constructing Excellence Awards 2018:
• Apprenticeship Initiative
• Preservation & Rejuvenation: Hackney Town Hall

Hackney Town Hall was also commended at the 2018 Civic Trust Awards.
