British Construction Industry Awards 2018 – two Construction projects are finalists!

We are delighted to announce that both the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) and the University of Roehampton Library are finalists in the British Construction Industry Awards 2018.

RAM is in the “Cultural and Leisure Project of the Year” category. Designed by Ian Ritchie Architects, we replaced a 1970s auditorium in the very heart of the occupied grade I and grade II listed Academy, whilst also adding a new auditorium at roof top level. This project was extremely technically complex, however, the Academy now has world class performance spaces for both its students’ and the public’s enjoyment.

Roehampton Library is in the “Social Infrastructure Project of the Year” category. Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley the new library is the centrepiece of an ambitious campus masterplan and since its official opening footfall has increased by 45%.

The awards dinner is being held on the 10 October in London.

Both projects also won RIBA London Awards with RAM named RIBA London Building of the Year 2018.
