Osborne to Deliver Cherbury Court Works Improvements

Osborne has signed a £4 million contract with Hackney Borough Council to deliver planned works on Cherbury Court, a residential tower block located in Hoxton, in the south of the London borough.

During the one-year contract, Osborne Communities will refurbish the building, installing new main entrance doors, complete with video entry, and a new roof with photovoltaic panels.

The building’s lifts will be completely overhauled and refurbished, and its communal areas will be rewired, tiled and decorated.

Homes within Cherbury Court will also be renovated, with residents receiving new kitchens and bathrooms, new windows, and new front doors. Boilers will also be replaced as required.

The area immediately surrounding the block will be improved, with Osborne Communities undertaking estate works, and the local community centre will be refurbished to accommodate the needs of the local activity groups.

Residents will also benefit from a newly-installed charging point for electric vehicles.

Carol Bailey, MD for Osborne Communities, said: “This is a huge project that will result in massive improvements for the residents of Cherbury Court and our Customer Liaison Officers are working closely with residents to talk them through every step of the project so that they know what to expect and when. As with all of Osborne’s projects, ensuring residents’ safety, and reducing the impact of works on those who live in and around the building, are of utmost importance.”
