First Aid for Mental Health

Mental health issues are a normal part of life; in any one year approximately 1 in 4 people experience at least one diagnosable mental health issue.

To support their people, Osborne has now trained 49 Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA).

The firm hopes this will encourage people to talk more freely about mental health, reduce stigma and create a more positive culture. Osborne has more MHFA courses coming up in the autumn which will enable more people across their company to train as mental first aiders.

Last year, Osborne signed an employer pledge with ‘Time to Change’, the growing social movement run by charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness which supports people to open up to mental health problems.
