Back to Nature in Slough

Wildlife loving Slough schoolchildren and their parents were busy building bird boxes this week for the Wildlife Trust. The bird boxes were made from recycled waste wood and once ready, they were mounted in nearby Haymill Valley Reserve.

Sarah Askey and Peter Jones from the Communities Team were on hand to help. While Peter was assisting the children with making the bird boxes, Sarah kept those waiting their turn engaged with colouring, crafts and refreshments.

The children assembled and numbered the boxes for identification and then along with their families, the children were invited to see the boxes installed by the Wildlife Trust at ‘The Millie’, which is the local name for the reserve.
