Safe Access over Water

The Osborne team working at the Nazeing New Road Bridge in Hertfordshire are carrying out extensive surveys and investigations in order to facilitate a comprehensive refurbishment of the structure. This includes consideration of the methodology required for replacement of the bearings. In order to carry out investigations to the abutments, pontoons have been installed on the river to provide public access around the required works area.

The works area is securely hoarded with protective sheeting and is clean, tidy and free from tripping hazards.  The temporary pedestrian route is well-signed with non-slip ramps and secures fencing to both sides.

Well done to the Osborne Team for their site set up. Keeping the public safe is so important when there is the added risk of water and the set-up demonstrates great consideration of the additional dangers.
